Kevin Garnett reunites with Doc Rivers, Paul Pierce as Clippers consultant

The one-time Boston NBA championship trio of Doc Rivers, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are getting the band back together — kind of.

Garnett is joining his former Celtics buddies, including Brandon Bass, in sunny Los Angeles as a consultant for the Clippers, the team announced Tuesday. While the 15-time All-Star and former MVP won’t be on the bench for games or travel with the Clippers, Garnett will help the Clippers’ big men during practices in Playa Vista.

“He’s hired in here as a consultant, so I’m sure he’ll be in and out when it presents itself for him to work with our guys,” Clippers assistant coach Mike Woodson said, via NBA.com. “I think when he’s here, it’s important for our bigs to take advantage of him being out here on the floor, because he brings so much to the table and has so much to offer for the game of basketball.”

Garnett, who helped the Clippers at training camp earlier this season, didn’t waste Really Cheap Jerseys any time getting work (and trash talk) in with center DeAndre Jordan.

Thomas scored a game-high 38 points while knocking down six 3-pointers in the Celtics’ 117-108 win over the Pelicans on Saturday. After playing in his first All-Star Game last year, Thomas Online Cheap Jerseys is proving last season wasn’t a fluke. He is one of the game’s best players.

On the other side, Anthony Davis, unwilling to be brought down by the losing ways of his team, again put up striking numbers for the Pelicans. The power forward finished with 36 points and 15 rebounds. It is the eighth time this season he has scored at least 35 points while also hauling in 15 rebounds. The rest of the NBA has six such games combined.

Boston has won 10 of its last 12 games, proving it likely will be the Cavaliers’ most dangerous threat in the Eastern Conference once the postseason rolls around.
