NFL free agency: Seahawks to host Adrian Peterson, reports say
Adrian Peterson to Seattle?
Not quite, but the Seahawks are hosting the running back on Sunday as free agency season continues, ESPN reported, citing sources.
The Seahawks are clearly looking for a veteran tailback — they recently hosted former Packer Eddie Lacy, and are scheduled to meet with Latavius Murray on Tuesday and are reportedly looking into Jamaal Charles.
Peterson, who turns 32 on March 21, only played in three games last season before tearing his meniscus. If he were to join the Seahawks, his role would likely be more diminished than it was with the Vikings. Only four players over 32 have rushed for 1,000-plus yards and more than 4.0 yards per carry in a season since the NFL merger in 1970.
Andre Ellington rejoined the Cardinals this week, and he’ll apparently have a new role in the offense in 2017 as he pulls a reverse Ty Montgomery.
as of now, #azcardinals plan is to use Andre Ellington more at WR than Cheap Jerseys AUStralia RB. He’ll do both but Cardinals like him at WR.
Ellington was a running back in his first four years with Arizona, and showed promise in his first two seasons. But the emergence of David Johnson (along with the signing of Chris Johnson) led to a smaller role for Ellington, who has had limited touches in the last two years.
Moving him to receiver will be an interesting project for coach Bruce Arians and his staff. Ellington has nice skills but hasn’t been able to carve out a role for himself in the last two years despite remaining mostly healthy.
