The NFL suspended Johnson in September for testing positive for a banned PED. The 10-game suspension was upheld after an appeal, and Johnson served the suspension beginning in Week 5.
According to a copy of the complaint obtained by MMQBs Albert Breer, Johnson’s attorney, Stephen Zashin, claims that under the league’s and union’s 2015 PED policy, Johnson’s hearing required three arbitrators, but only two were used. The complaint also notes that the policy claims arbitrators cannot have any ties to the NFL or NFLPA, but that guideline was not followed in Johnson’s hearing.
According to the complaint, This case is harsh example of an employer and union who have chosen to withhold and manipulate the terms of employment in violation of the law. Such Cheap Jerseys Bulk conduct is also in direct contravention of the 2015 Policy’s express requirements of ‘transparency’ and ‘fairness.’
Johnson, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, also served a four-game suspension for a PED violation in 2014.
